About the Internship

Bob Mow has been described as a lawyer's lawyer. He always led by example and no matter how tough the case or abrasive the competition, Bob was the consummate professional and always a gentleman. For decades, whenever the best firms in town found themselves defending a potential ethics or malpractice complaint, one of their first calls was to Bob Mow. Bob routinely handled "bet the company" litigation. A Texas Lawyer photo caption summed it up best after a weeks-long defense of one of Dallas' finest firms: Nice Guys Finish First. In 2003, Bob was named the Dallas Bar Association's Trial Lawyer of the Year. Other honors Bob received include the Texas Bar Foundations's Outstanding Trial Lawyer of the Year and being named SMU's Distinguished Alumni for Private Practice. In 2014, the Dallas Bar Foundation awarded Bob Mow, a partner at K&L Gates, the Fellows Justinian Award, for his distinguished legal career and his commitment to adhering to the highest principles and traditions of the legal profession and adhering to the highest ethical standards. This clerkship, established in 2016 by the Dallas Bar Foundation, honors the legacy of Bob Mow and his extraordinary 50 year legal career.
